Carolina BioKits®: Exploring Human Senses

Grade 9–College. Provide students with materials and procedures to explore the human senses of sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. The experiments in this kit explore the reception of stimuli by various sense organs and interpretation of this data by the brain. Students test their own senses as they rotate through 10 stations. Each activity takes approximately 15 min to complete. With each activity being separate from the others, these activities can be spread out over multiple class periods if necessary.
