Leaves and Seeds of Common Trees Identification Mounts
This collection of 16 mounts is a nice survey of the diversity of trees across the U.S. Each species is represented by both leaves and seeds. Species include: White Oak, American Beech, Eastern Redbud, Sweetgum, Boxelder, Sassafras, Flowering Dogwood, Yellow-Poplar, Black Tupelo, Sugarberry, Black Cherry, America Elm, Red Mulberry, Bald Cypress, Eastern Red Cedar, and Shortleaf Pine. Leaves and twigs are pressed and the fruits have been freeze-dried for presentation. This set covers both leaf and seed/fruit studies without fear of damage to the fragile specimens from handling. Each 5 in. x 8 in. mount is labeled on the back with common and scientific names, family, leaf arrangement, leaf type, tree size, fruit type, natural habitat, and a range map for the U.S.
All come housed in a convenient, 6 in. x 15 in. flip bin for easy filing and storage. A must for leaf and seed studies.
